In Varennes-en-Argonne, the pharmaceutical laboratory ALK, an international player specializing in allergy treatments, chose Drylast’s solution to improve the thermal performance of its buildings.
A clear objective : to cool down the storage areas
Faced with increasingly hot summers, ALK wanted to improve the thermal comfort of its storage spaces while reducing energy consumption. The mission entrusted to Drylast was simple but ambitious: to apply cool roofing to the targeted roofs using our CRWR® solution, a highly reflective liquid coating.
This project was part of a broader approach aimed at better controlling the site's indoor temperature, extending the lifespan of the roofs, and reducing air conditioning costs.
Concrete results from the very first summer
Just a few months after the intervention, the effects are clear. At equivalent ambient temperatures between summer 2023 and summer 2024, a drop of up to 8°C was observed inside the treated areas. This significant difference improves the daily lives of the on-site teams and helps reduce the building’s carbon footprint.
This achievement was made possible thanks to the smooth collaboration between the Drylast technical teams and the ALK site managers, especially Franck Mouton, who championed the project with conviction. A great example of practical implementation serving energy performance and environmental commitment.
